Cody, WY – Eastside Elementary celebrated a highly successful Family STEM Night on October 24, 2024, where students, families, and community members came together for an exciting evening of hands-on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) activities. Sponsored by Eastside PTK, Title I, and Cody Regional Health, the event underscored Park 6’s dedication to real-world learning, aligning with both the district’s Classroom 2 Careers Program and Governor Gordon’s RIDE Initiative, which aims to reshape education in Wyoming.

The night featured an array of interactive stations—from catapulting pumpkins to engineering model bridges and coding robots—giving students and parents alike a chance to explore the creativity and innovation within STEM fields. The engaging activities highlighted how STEM skills connect to real-life careers, fostering a sense of excitement about future learning and professional opportunities. By emphasizing hands-on engagement, Eastside Elementary encouraged families to dive deeper into the possibilities within STEM, aligning with Classroom 2 Careers’ mission to prepare students for dynamic career paths.

Guests also enjoyed free food, prize giveaways, and Cody Regional Health’s informative booths on health-related STEM careers. Many families left with prizes, newfound knowledge, and a greater connection to their community’s educational goals.

“We’re thrilled to see how many families turned out and embraced the hands-on learning opportunities,” said an Eastside Elementary representative. “This event demonstrated how much fun STEM learning can be and showed students and families the exciting career possibilities ahead, perfectly reflecting the goals of our Classroom 2 Careers Program and the RIDE Initiative.”

Eastside Elementary thanks everyone who participated and helped make Family STEM Night an inspiring and memorable success.
