Superintendent Degenfelder Honors Cody High School as Part of Statewide “Tour of Excellence”

CODY, WY – [Insert Date] – Wyoming State Superintendent Megan Degenfelder visited Cody High School this week to honor its selection as a recipient of the prestigious “Tour of Excellence.” The recognition celebrates schools and educators who are leading the way in innovation, student-centered learning, and excellence in education.

“The Tour of Excellence is all about celebrating our standout teachers and schools and the exceptional work they are doing. These are the schools that aren’t afraid to take risks and try new things if it is what is best for students, and they should be recognized,” said Degenfelder. “It also gives us the opportunity to learn from what those educators and administrators are doing so we can work to replicate it across the state.”

Cody High School was recognized for its commitment to creating innovative learning environments and for placing students at the center of every instructional decision. Under the leadership of Principal Mitch Espeland and Assistant Principal Mr. Shawn Trotter, CHS continues to elevate educational opportunities for all students through a collaborative and forward-thinking approach to teaching and learning through the Park 6 Classroom 2 Careers program and Governor Gordon’s RIDE initiative.

Cody High School professional educators are known for their dedication to academic excellence, creative instructional planning, and deep investment in student success. Their efforts are reflected in the high levels of engagement, achievement, and opportunity available to all CHS Scholars.

Congratulations to the entire Cody High School community on this well-deserved recognition. Your work is setting the bar for excellence in Wyoming education.
