Cody, WY — December 2025 — Students from Glenn Livingston Elementary proudly represented the State of Wyoming on the national stage this holiday season. The school was selected by Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon to create the official Wyoming ornaments for the 2025 National Christmas Tree display in President’s Park at the White House in Washington, D.C.
Each year, all 50 states and U.S. territories contribute handcrafted ornaments to surround the National Christmas Tree. Livingston Elementary’s ornaments showcased the beauty, heritage, and spirit of Wyoming—featuring wildlife, wide-open spaces, outdoor recreation, state symbols, and the creativity of Wyoming’s young artists.
“We are incredibly grateful for this opportunity,” said Livingston Elementary Principal Allison Lewis. “Our students put their hearts into designs that highlight everything we love about Wyoming. To see their work displayed at the White House is an honor they will never forget.”
The National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony took place on December 4, 2025, in President’s Park, where President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump delivered remarks and officially lit the National Tree, surrounded by the trees decorated from all 50 states.
Livingston Elementary’s participation highlights the remarkable talent of Wyoming students and shines a national spotlight on the strength of arts education across the state.
The ceremony can be viewed online through the National Christmas Tree program.
